Juliette Lewis was originally lined up to voice Sage, a DJ on Radio X back in San Andreas, but she passed on it because she felt the character's dialogue was too crude even for GTA. She still ended up in the series eventually, though - in GTA IV she appears as herself, hosting on Radio Broker rather than playing a fictional character.
It's not just the Ghast, that eerie Enderman noise you hear right before it teleports and lunges at you traces back to the same batch of cat recordings the developers used for other mobs. Layer and pitch-shift a startled cat enough times and apparently you get one of the most feared sounds in the entire game.

Mark's high school principal is voiced by Reginald VelJohnson and, fittingly, the school itself is called Reginald VelJohnson High. His character is named B.N. Winslow, a direct nod to Carl Winslow, the role that made VelJohnson a household name on Family Matters. He's probably better known to some fans as the cop who helps John McClane in Die Hard, too.
Kevin Feige deliberately tucked Nick Fury's Avengers Initiative cameo after the credits so it wouldn't overshadow the main film if the bigger universe plans never panned out. He was stunned by how fast it blew up anyway, with outlets covering it within days.
In the Black Ops II zombies version of Nuketown, if you walk up to the fallout shelter door in the yellow house's backyard and knife the door, you'll hear Marlton Johnson, a character from the TranZit storyline, muttering complaints from inside about the dust and radiation. He's not doing anything else on the map, he's just stuck in there, reusing lines from a completely different level.
There's a running thread in Overwatch lore about a conspiracy that isn't Overwatch or Talon — something bigger tying nearly every character together.
