A New Single-Player Gwent Spin-off Is Coming

CD Projekt Red's in-house Gwent team has been quietly working on another standalone single-player card game, codenamed Project Golden Nekker. The studio has said it's meant to feel like its own thing rather than simply a repeat of the earlier Thronebreaker spin-off.

Justin Theroux's Only Solo Screenwriting Credit

The script is credited entirely to actor Justin Theroux, who's better known these days for The Leftovers. This remains the only film he's ever written completely on his own, though he did share a co-writing credit on Tropic Thunder alongside Robert Downey Jr.

JB Blanc Voices Both Vander and Warwick

JB Blanc doesn't just voice Vander, he also plays Warwick once the transformation happens, meaning the same actor carries the character all the way through his tragic arc from father figure to feral weapon.

The Man Who Wrote Diablo Also Wrote Half of Azeroth

Richard A. Knaak, the author behind most of the Diablo novels, has also written extensively for Warcraft and StarCraft, on top of his own long-running Dragonlance series. The guy clearly doesn't take a day off from world-building.

One of the lockers nearby has a photo of Croc's hand taped to it, along with a scrawled warning to keep your mitts off. Small detail, but it does a lot to sell how much everyone at Arkham fears the guy.

22 Months From Start to Finish

The whole game came together in just 22 months, with a solid 6 of those spent purely in pre-production before the team even got properly stuck into building levels.

The Cockatoo Was Mickey Rourke's Idea

Rourke didn't want Ivan Vanko to just be a snarling one-note bad guy, so he pitched the idea of giving him a pet cockatoo to soften him up a bit. When he had to fly back for reshoots, Jon Favreau even gifted him his own bird, so there are technically two different cockatoos in the finished film if you look closely at the crest markings.

Captain America's Shield Gets an Odd Job

You can spot Captain America's shield sitting in Tony's workshop, and rather than treating it like a sacred relic, Tony just slides it under some coils to level them out on his workbench.
