A Rude Number Plate Hidden in Vacant

Take a wander round the outside area on the multiplayer map Vacant and you'll spot a parked truck. Zoom in on its number plate and it reads 'Я3T4ЯD0', which if you squint is just a backwards spelling of a certain playground insult.

Downey Turned Up in a Tux

Robert Downey Jr. didn't have to screen test given his resume, but he did anyway, and he showed up dressed exactly like Tony Stark would: full tuxedo. It clearly worked, because Marvel handed him the role for a modest $2.5 million, pocket change compared to what he'd later earn.

The Banana Guards protecting the Candy Kingdom share a suspicious amount of DNA with the Minions from Despicable Me, both in their yellow, rounded shape and their goofy group energy. It's never called out directly in the show, but the resemblance is hard to miss once you're looking for it.

A Nod to the Original Wednesday's Signature Move

Buried inside Jenna Ortega's dance routine is a quick tribute to Lisa Loring, the actress who played Wednesday back in the 1964 series. If you know Loring's little arm flick from the original show, you'll spot it snuck into the choreography.

Most Awarded Game Ever Made

By the time all the dust settled on the 2020 awards season, The Last of Us Part 2 had picked up more Game of the Year wins than any other game in history, knocking The Witcher 3 off the top spot it had held for years.

Doc Holliday Practises in Broken Hills

The town doctor in Broken Hills goes by the name Doc Holliday, a wink at the gunfighter made famous in westerns like Tombstone. It fits right in with a settlement that's already leaning hard into old frontier-town vibes.
