Someone actually sat down and compared Jinx's dance emote side by side with Jake from Adventure Time doing his own goofy little shuffle, and the moves line up almost beat for beat. Whether it was intentional or a happy coincidence, once you've seen the comparison you can't watch either one the same way again.
Brotherhood was the first entry in the series to let Ezio recruit and train his own roster of assassins, sending them off on missions across Europe. It's a small addition but it's the one that really cemented the idea of Ezio as a leader rather than a lone wolf.

Deep in Oasis, at the northern edge of the map, you'll find Harold, a ghoul who has literally become one with a tree, now known as Bob. Harold first appeared as a mutated ghoul in the original two Fallout games, and his transformation into a sentient tree is one of the series' longest-running character arcs.
Wander through Little Haiti and you'll find the Romero Family Funeral Home sitting right next to Romero Family Butchers, which is exactly as morbid as it sounds once you look closer. There's a tombstone in the funeral parlour window naming a real level designer from the team, and round the back there's an unmarked grave and a skeleton. The butchers next door has a box labelled human organs and an arm resting among the cuts of meat. Subtle it is not.
With basically the entire MCU cast standing together at Tony's funeral, you'd assume some digital trickery was involved to get everyone in one shot. Nope - every actor was physically there on the same day, and the crew just shot five or six takes of the whole group.
You fight through a Burger Town restaurant during the Wolverines! mission in the original 2009 campaign. That same fictional chain has kept popping up in later Call of Duty releases, including a sign spotted on the Verdansk map, a running gag that all traces back to this one throwaway location.
The Marquis Music Store in Bill's Town is stacked with fictional album covers that are clearly winking at real bands - 'Into the Breach' by the Blaggard Boys riffs on AC/DC's 'For Those About to Rock,' while 'Unidentified Objects' by FULLFUNK mirrors Parliament's 'Mothership Connection.' A fun little detour for anyone who actually stops to browse the shelves.
The gunslinger companion Cassidy flat out tells you in dialogue that he was named after a character from a 90s comic. That comic is real: Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's Preacher, which features a chain-smoking Irish vampire named Cassidy. Fallout 3 later returned the favour with a ghoul named Tulip, another Preacher reference.
According to Game Informer, the written script used for the Dragon language was deliberately designed so its characters looked like they could have been carved by a creature with three front talons and a dewclaw, giving every rune a claw-mark shape.
