A hidden 'Golden Peyote' plant lets players transform into Bigfoot, but it only appears at Raton Canyon on Tuesdays between 5:30 and 8:00 AM, and only once every prior peyote plant has already been consumed. It was one of the last major single-player secrets fans uncovered after release.

A clothing shop near Trevor's rink in Sandy Shores sells a whitish jacket with a crab stitched onto the back, a direct parody of the iconic scorpion jacket Ryan Gosling's character wears throughout the 2011 film Drive.

Franklin's Nine-Year Hunt

In the Strangers and Freaks mission 'The Last One', Franklin meets a hunter who claims he's been chasing a Sasquatch for nine years. That's a deliberate reference to GTA: San Andreas, released exactly nine years before GTA V, where rumours of a Bigfoot sighting first took hold of the community.
