Mr. Poopybutthole Was Retroactively Added
Mr. Poopybutthole technically first shows up in Total Rickall, but the production team went back and edited him into the memory scenarios shown in that episode's own opening scenes to sell the joke that he'd secretly always been part of the family. So depending how you look at it, he was either never there before, or he always was.
Hush Used to Work at Arkham
There's a staff board in the Medical Facility listing past employees, and Hush's name is on it. It's easy to walk straight past, but it quietly ties the villain into the asylum's history well before he ever became a major player in the wider Arkham series.
The Box Art Gets the Banshee Wrong
Look closely at the original box art and you'll spot a mistake — the Banshees are drawn hovering with nobody in the cockpit and firing narrow laser beams, when in the actual game they always need a pilot and fire chunky plasma orbs instead.
A Hornet Hidden in the Jet Pack
Fire up your jet pack and hover in place, then flip over to Theater mode and take a look. There's a tiny painted Hornet graphic on the pack itself, a nod to the vehicle from earlier Halo games that never made it into Reach as a flyable ride.
The Peaceful Ending That Got Cut
There was supposed to be a good ending where the intelligent deathclaws of Vault 13 expand peacefully into the surrounding territory instead of getting wiped out. The vault's designer has said it was scrapped because the Enclave storyline needed those deathclaws dead for the plot to work. Fan patches have since added workarounds that let the tribe survive after all.
Bale Actually Fell Asleep On Set
For his very first scene with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, Bale was supposed to be lying in bed pretending to sleep while Alfred and Lucius Fox woke him up. Except while waiting around for everyone to get set up, he genuinely nodded off for real and had to be poked awake by Caine, who reportedly laughed and said, 'Look at that! He's bloody fallen asleep.'
