The M-K Memorial

On a hill southwest of Crossroads in the Barrens sits a small shrine dedicated to an orc marked only with the initials 'M-K.' It honours Michel Koiter, a Blizzard illustrator who passed away during the game's development, a spirit healer named Koiter can be found nearby.

The Goldshire Demon Children

Goldshire is one of the first towns Alliance players ever see, but around 6am server time it briefly turns sinister: six children spawn, walk in a tight pentagram formation, and head upstairs in a nearby house, with unsettling sound cues if you follow them.

The Gnomeregan Punch Cards

Scattered throughout the Gnomeregan dungeon are collectible punch cards, each stamped with a string of binary code. Decode them and you'll find a set of silly, lore-flavoured in-jokes, including one that simply reads 'if you can read this, you're standing too close.'

Dormus the Camel-Hoarder

Camel figurines scattered across Uldum usually just crumble to dust when examined, but rarely one will teleport you to a hidden area called the Steam Pools. There you'll face a huge ettin, Dormus, who drops the Reins of the Grey Riding Camel mount and a matching title if defeated.
