Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos have always known the deck is stacked against them. Two Editions With a Real Price Tag Attached

Despite months of rumours that GTA VI could cost as much as $200, Rockstar settled on a Standard Edition priced at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition at $99.99, putting it in line with other big current-gen console releases rather than the wild numbers fans had been bracing for.

Leonida Is Made Up of Six Named Regions

Rockstar has officially named six distinct areas that make up the state of Leonida: Vice City itself, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. An exact map size has never been published, so anything you see quoting square miles online is still just fan estimation.

It's Single-Player Only, At Least for Now

Rockstar has been very direct about this one: GTA VI launches as a single-player experience with no online mode included at release. A GTA Online-style follow-up is widely assumed to be coming eventually, but nothing has been named, dated, or confirmed for it yet.

No PC Version Has Been Announced Yet

As of launch, GTA VI is confirmed only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar hasn't said a word about a PC release window, following the same pattern as GTA V, which didn't arrive on PC until well over a year after console.

A Wildlife Checklist Straight Out of Red Dead

Leonida's animal population is genuinely huge, with alligators, boars, dogs, snakes, flamingos, dolphins and even sharks confirmed. Spot or study them in the wild or at the zoo and they get logged to a checklist, a system that feels lifted almost straight out of Red Dead Redemption 2.

A Fully Explorable Zoo and Metro System

Among the confirmed landmarks players will be able to walk into are a full zoo, a working Vice City Metro Station, a massive airport, a football stadium, and a large military base, on top of the malls, hotels, nightclubs and pawn shops already shown off in trailers.

Switching Between Jason and Lucia Happens Mid-Action

When Jason and Lucia are together, control can jump between them almost instantly, even in the middle of a car chase, with one driving while the other leans out to shoot. Split them up, though, and switching goes back to that slower, GTA V-style transition sweeping across the map.

The Extended Look Was Shot Entirely on a PS5

That 26-minute Extended Look wasn't a cinematic trailer dressed up to look like gameplay, it was genuinely captured running on a PlayStation 5, giving fans the clearest indication yet of what the final game will actually look like in motion.

Over Ten Times More NPC Animation Than GTA V

Rockstar has reportedly built more than 600,000 individual NPC animations for GTA VI, compared to roughly 55,000 in GTA V. That jump is a big part of why pedestrians and crowds in the recent footage look so much less repetitive and robotic than in past games.

Backyard Wrestling Is an Actual Confirmed Activity

Alongside more expected pastimes like basketball, mini golf, scuba diving and kayaking, footage has confirmed a genuinely odd one: backyard wrestling complete with WWE-style finishing moves, plus base jumping and stock car racing for anyone who wants a bit more adrenaline.
