The haunted loot cave voice line bears a striking resemblance to a line from Frank Herbert's novel Dune about deaths not being enough for a character named Yueh. Bungie has never confirmed whether the similarity was an intentional literary nod or coincidence.

The ships buzzing around Tower Plaza aren't just decorative background traffic. If you sprint into the Tower Hangar the instant you spawn in, you can actually catch your own Guardian's ship being flown in and lowered into the hangar below.

Why Xur Stands Hunched

In later lore, the Guardian Orin confronts Xur while investigating the Nine, crushing his throat and striking him with a war hammer hard enough to warp his spine permanently. It's why Xur has always stood in that distinctive hunched posture and spoken in his strained voice.

The Loot Cave's Haunted Message

After the loot cave was patched, Bungie left behind a pile of charred Hive Thrall corpses at the site. Interacting with the remains triggers a distorted voice line about a million deaths not being enough for Master Rahool, a cheeky nod to how many enemies were farmed there for Cryptarch decoding.
