Nuka-World's World of Refreshment ride is Fallout's take on the chocolate river from Willy Wonka. Guests used to sail through it in boats, just like in Roald Dahl's book, and there's even a terminal entry encouraging visitors to drink straight from the river - basically the opposite advice Wonka gave his guests. These days it's just full of nukalurks and murky Nuka-Quantum instead of chocolate, so maybe don't take a sip.
For the tenth anniversary of the Falador Massacre in 2016, Jagex added a little tribute nobody was expecting: log into Falador on the normal servers around that time and there's a chance Durial321's face flashes across your screen for a second before you're handed a green partyhat.
Every one of Bard's voice lines is really just chiming noises to anyone in Runeterra, since he's technically speaking in a voice mortal ears can't process. Both are the ones who drag the hero into their dark little family in the first place, which feels like a very deliberate bit of homage rather than coincidence.
Stark clocks a SHIELD agent slacking off playing Galaga on the Helicarrier and makes fun of him for it. The joke doesn't stop there though - the second Tony walks off, the agent goes right back to playing, and if you pause on the screen his score matches the game's existing high score. He was mid-run on the best game of his life and Stark just had to go and ruin it.
Hidden inside Ysgramor's Tomb, only accessible during a Companions questline, sits a helmet modeled after Darth Vader's iconic mask, one of two direct Star Wars references built into Skyrim.
In Old World Blues there's a tiny but surprisingly tough deathclaw called Stripe, and yes, that's a direct reference to the gremlin of the same name from the 1984 film. Get too close to him and he'll actually flee toward a fountain, mirroring the exact spot where the movie's Stripe meets his end.
