Once Franklin meets the conspiracy theorist Omega, a full collectible hunt opens up for fifty scattered spaceship parts hidden across San Andreas, some tucked into buildings and rooftops, others sitting underwater or buried in tunnels only reachable by helicopter. Omega himself suggests they're wreckage from a UFO that crashed nearby, though the game is careful never to confirm it outright.
A whole British campaign was planned for World at War at one point, and you can still find unused weapons like the Sten, Bren and Lee-Enfield sitting dormant in the game files. There were even three cut missions set in Holland that survived into the Mod Tools. Would've been a very different game.
