YumYum Deviled Eggs Made The Jump To Live Action

Keep an eye out on the tables and shelves throughout the wasteland and you'll spot tins of YumYum Deviled Eggs, a health-boosting snack that's been a staple food item in the games since Fallout 3. It's the kind of background prop that only really lands if you've spent hours digging through in-game inventories.

Jet Shows Up Early And Often

The raiders in episode one, including the Ghoul himself, are seen using Jet, the highly addictive inhalant drug that's been part of Fallout's chem lineup for years. It's a subtle bit of characterisation as much as an easter egg, since Jet use has always been shorthand in the games for someone who's rough around the edges.

Todd Howard Has Been Living In This World For Over A Decade

Bethesda's Todd Howard came on board as an executive producer, bringing over ten years of history with the franchise as both director and producer on the games themselves. Having him in the room helped keep the show's tone and world-building honest to what longtime players already know.

Skyrim Borrowed Design Lessons from Fallout 3

Todd Howard told PC Gamer that many of the gameplay changes made since Oblivion were directly inspired by Bethesda's work on Fallout 3, the game the studio released in the years between its two Elder Scrolls titles.
