Vander Was Warwick All Along

That fan theory going around since season one turned out to be spot on. Singed brings Vander back from the brink after his fight with Silco by turning him into Warwick, the feral beast champion. According to the animation team, the idea that Vander's stubborn resilience would eventually make him into Warwick was baked into the character from the very start of the show.

Ambessa Drops a Kindred Hint

In the final act, as Ambessa is about to lose to Mel, she calls her 'the Wolf' right before things go south. It's a small line, but plenty of fans think it's pointing toward Kindred, the champion literally made up of a wolf and a lamb, suggesting Mel might have a bigger role to play in whatever comes after Arcane.

Silco Raised the Girl Piltover Feared Most

After Vi is arrested and Powder is left alone following the tunnel explosion, it's Silco who takes her in and shapes her into Jinx. He's framed as a villain for most of the run, but the show is careful to make his bond with her feel genuine, which is exactly what makes the ending hurt as much as it does.

Hextech Is the Spark That Splits the City

Pretty much everything in Arcane traces back to Hextech, the invention Jayce and Viktor create to let ordinary people harness magical energy. It's meant to be a great equaliser, but instead it becomes the thing that widens the gap between wealthy Piltover and the neglected undercity of Zaun even further.

It Took Six Years to Get Arcane to Screen

Co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee have said the whole project took around six years from start to finish, meaning work on it stretches back to roughly 2015. A lot of the cast weren't nearly as famous back then as they are now, which makes the eventual voice lineup feel like a bit of a lucky break in hindsight.

Fortiche Started Out Making Adverts

The French studio behind Arcane's whole look, Fortiche, was set up back in 2009 by three friends, Jérôme Combe, Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord. Before they ever touched an animated series, they were making commercials for the likes of Coca-Cola and Samsung, then moved into music videos, with a Gorillaz collaboration being their big early break.

450 Artists Worked on Season Two

At the busiest point of production on season two, Fortiche had roughly 450 artists working across studios in the US and France, covering everything from character animation to matte paintings and lighting. Riot Games' co-director Barthelemy Maunoury has described the working relationship with Linke as going back over a decade at that point.

Arcane Made Emmy History Twice

Season one made Arcane the first streaming show ever to win the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program, back in 2022, and it took home four wins total that year. Season two then repeated the trick in 2025, beating out competition like Bob's Burgers and The Simpsons for the same award.

Arcane Swept the Annie Awards

Between its two seasons, Arcane became the first TV series to sweep the Annie Awards in a single year, and it later racked up seven wins at the 52nd Annies for season two alone, more than any other nominated show that year including Dream Productions.

'Enemy' Was Riot's Second Team-Up With Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons and JID's theme song 'Enemy' wasn't the band's first rodeo with Riot Games. They'd already made 'Warriors' back in 2014 for the League of Legends World Championship, so by the time Arcane rolled around it was a bit of a reunion rather than a first date.
